Customers Will Have To Use The New IFSC Code From 1 March 2021

Customers Will Have To Use The New IFSC Code From 1 March 2021 Because The Merger of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank with Bank of Baroda (BoB) took effect from 1 April 2019. After this, the customers of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank became customers of Bank of Baroda. New IFSC Codes for Dena and Vijaya Bank branches can be obtained easily. The bank has given information about this by tweeting.


Bank of Baroda has issued an alert for customers. The Bank has said in a tweet that from March 1, 2021, The IFSC codes of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank will not work. That is, the existing IFSC Codes of the branches of these two banks will be valid only till 28 February 2021. Customers will have to use The New IFSC Code From 1 March 2021. It is noteworthy that the Merger of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank with Bank of Baroda (BoB) took effect from 1 April 2019. After this, the customers of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank became customers of Bank of Baroda.


The IFSC Code is 11 digits long. The initial four letters in The IFSC Code indicate the bank's name. The code is used during electronic payment. The IFSC Code can be found online. Apart from this, it is also present on bank passbooks and checkbooks. Bank of Baroda has said in the tweet that New IFSC Codes can be easily obtained for Dena and Vijaya Bank branches. Its methods are as follows-

 

1.Bank of Baroda says that the bank sent letters to customers during the system integration. It has been given information about it.

2.The new IFSC code can be detected by visiting the website and scanning the QR code.

3.Contact the Customer Care Help Desk on 1800 258 1700 or visit your bank branch.

4.Send the last 4 digits of the MIGR old account number from your registered mobile number via SMS to 8422009988.



Take New Checkbook By 31 March

Bank of Baroda has also said that customers can get the New MICR Code checkbook by 31 March 2021 from their bank branch. Apart from this, applications for new checkbook can also be done through Net Banking / Mobile Banking. The MICR Code is 9 digits long and stays on the checkbook.
